Marc Surer wins with BEBA^®  Race Runner BAB

Form February 21st to 25th 2008 the Swiss Race series of funracing.ch had their so called “Kick off party 2008” at Ondara/Spain

In heavenly weather the first participants went on their first training laps on Thursday noon. For the first time the new BEBA^® Race Runner BAB will be stipulated as unit-tires for the race season of funracing.ch. On the circuit of Marc Surer had been no rubber at all and so some drivers started with new BEBA tired or started with their old tiers of different brands.

Quickly the pilots adjusted on the new tires and thanks to some laps of testing on Friday they had been ready for the Qualifying on Saturday.

 

As top-favourite, Marc Surer could secure the pole position in front of his countryman Sven Mueller. This start-installation promised an exciting race.

The Saturday was opened with the Qualifying, in which Marc Surer clearly could push through before Sven Mueller and Andrè Salgado. The field was varied behind these three and it was difficult to establish the bet-quotas for the upcoming race. While the respective favourites asserted themselves in the Pre Race, the direct duel between Marc Surer (with the new Swissauto 250 at the start) and Sven millers occurred in conclusion in the finale of the Funer. The duet collected after the start and suppressed fought about the leadership. While the two duelled leading, also Salgado found the connection of the top. The duel now turned into a hot three-fight. Finally the former F1-Pilot could pushed through and won two tenth before the persecutors.

Marc Surer grazed in the final-race in round 11 on BEBA Race Runner BAB only 8 hundreds seconds at the current track-record from the previous year past. However, one must heed on that occasion that the used tires had been already through some pre-runs and the Qualifying at this time!
